Warranty
questions.
What does “whichever comes first” mean?
Each coverage term has a time limit and an hour limit. The term ends when your equipment reaches either one. For example, a Class I battery that reaches 20,000 hours of use in year seven has reached the end of its battery term.
What does 65% remaining capacity mean?
The battery is warranted to charge and discharge normally and to have 65% or greater of its capacity remaining by the end of the battery term: ten years or 20,000 hours for Class I, II, and VI equipment, and eight years or 10,000 hours for Class III equipment.
Which plan covers my equipment?
Counterbalance, cushion tire, and tow tractor models (ECB, ECC, ESC, T250, and T50) are covered by the 10-3-2 warranty. Class III pallet trucks (PMW20 and PMR) are covered by the 8-2-1 warranty.
Does maintenance affect coverage?
Coverage applies under regular use and maintenance. Follow the inspection and maintenance requirements for your model, and talk with your dealer about a service plan that fits your operation.
Where can I get the full warranty statement?
Your authorized BYD dealer can provide the complete written warranty statement for your equipment, including when coverage begins and the full list of conditions and exclusions.
